What’s This Class All About?

Electronic Music Club is an exciting, hands-on class where students dive into the world of music production! Using real music production software, students will create their own beats, craft melodies, and experiment with digital instruments. Whether they're making electronic dance tracks, hip-hop beats, or cinematic soundscapes, this class blends creativity with technology in a fun and engaging way.

Who Can Join?

This class is open to 2nd-5th graders—no prior music or tech experience needed! Whether your child is brand new to music production or has taken a class before, there are always new angles to explore and fresh ways to create.

When Does It Run?

Classes start on Thursday, April 3rd, and run weekly until June 5th from 3:15 - 4:15.

What’s an Average Class Look Like?

Each session is a mix of hands-on music-making and guided instruction. Students will:

• Learn how to create beats, melodies, and song structures.

• Experiment with music production software and digital instruments.

• Learn how to record and edit audio and use it in a fun way.

• Collaborate with classmates to share ideas and inspiration.

All equipment—computers, keyboards, and headphones—is provided, so students just need to bring their creativity!

Can returning students sign up?

If your child has taken an Electronic Music Club class before, they’ll find some familiar concepts but will also explore new projects and techniques. While we cover foundational skills in every session, we introduce fresh challenges, creative prompts, and different approaches to keep things engaging for returning students while ensuring accessibility for newcomers. Our goal is to help students build confidence and deepen their understanding of music production, no matter how many times they’ve joined us!

Policies & Important Info

• Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be made at least one week before the first class for a refund. We do not offer refunds for missed classes.

• Late Pick-Up Fee: Please pick up your child on time! A $15 late pick-up fee will be charged if a parent or guardian arrives more than 15 minutes after class ends.

• Inclement Weather & Unexpected Closures: If the district cancels after-school activities due to weather or other unexpected closures, we do not offer refunds unless two or more classes in a row are canceled. If a class is canceled due to an issue on our end, we will offer a credit toward future EMC programming.
